“Ultimately photography is about who you are. It’s the seeking of truth in relation to yourself. And seeking truth becomes a habit.” – Leonard Freed
I was born in London, England and moved to Toronto, Canada at 16. I began my career as a lawyer and went on to become an entrepreneur creating and working in several businesses. My love of photography was inherited from my father who inspired me to eventually go back to school where I studied photography and documentary filmmaking.
Today I am primarily a street and portrait photographer and I strive to capture the truth and beauty of person and place. I look for the unexpected moments, the mundane, the strange and the wonderful.
I believe that we are all connected and through the lens attempt to explore and capture our interdependence. I feel that photos both strengthen our relationships and also help us see ourselves in that reflection.
I am based in Toronto but spend part of the year travelling as well as living in beautiful British Colombia.
